Porno for Pyros has cancelled the remainder of their current tour because guitarist Peter DiStefano has been diagnosed with cancer. The thirty-one-year-old DiStefano will begin intense chemotherapy treatments in California for the unspecified cancer, which reportedly has been caught in its early stages. Warner Bros. Records, the band's label, released a statement saying that DiStefano's doctors are optimistic about the treatment, that DiStefano remains in good spirits, and that he is eager to get back on the road. Porno for Pyros was formed by former Jane's Addiction frontman-Lollapallooza founder Perry Farrell four years ago. The band's latest album is Good God's Urge.
